„We are back at the DHM Berlin with the new special exhibition „Wolf Biermann. A poet and songwriter in Germany“ (07.07.2023 – 14.01.2024)

Biermann is one of the best-known songwriters in Germany. The exhibition follows the songwriter`s development from his move to the GDR and initial artistic success to the ban that was imposed in his public performances and the eventual deprivation of his GDR citizenship. Our guided tours involve dialogues that examine key moments in his life, which can be relatable for many artists around the world, such as art and activism, exile and censorship. We also aim to take a look at the exhibition through a critical lens and discuss which such an exhibition would be worth a visit for our target audience.
