The interactive guided tours rethink historical objects in the light of contemporary debates, in order to establish a connection between the past and the present. The tours also focus on transculturality and celebrate diverse perspectives, while encouraging cultural participation.

Workshops
The Multaka workshops provide a frame, where people meet and work with one another to exchange experiences and emotions. The objects in the museums serve as launching points, to reflect on culture and history, as well as as inspiration for the creation of artifacts by workshop participants.

Works of art from almost all areas of the eastern Mediterranean and northern Africa can be discovered in the Museum of Byzantine Art in the Bode Museum. They reach deep into history and connect late antiquity with the Islamic period. The objects show a development of cultures in the different regions that goes back more than 1,500 years. Come by and be part of this journey.
At the moment — until further notice — there will be no Multaka tours in this museum.
